Mr. and Mrs. Robbie Smith of Decatur, Alabama are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachael Elizabeth Smith, to Benton Luke Floyd, son of Rev. and Mrs. Terry Floyd of Batesville, Mississippi.
Miss Smith is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bobbie Joe Smith of Decatur, Alabama.
Mr. Floyd is the grandson of Mrs. Roy W Smith, and the late Mr. Smith, of Ripley, Mississippi and Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Floyd of New Albany, Mississippi.
The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Priceville High School. She graduated from Mississippi State University in 2012 where she studied English. She is currently employed at Mississippi State University as an Admissions Counselor.
The prospective groom graduated from North Delta High School in 2007. He graduated from Mississippi State University in 2011 where he double majored in English and Psychology. After that he attended Reformed Theological Seminary where he received a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Counseling. Mr. Floyd is currently employed at Communicare in Water Valley.
The couple will exchange vows at 2:00, August 8th, 2015 at Southside Baptist Church in Decatur, Alabama. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall. Friends and family are invited to attend.
