Mr. Martin Scarlett of Tupelo, MS and Mr. and Mrs. John and Sherry Avila of Bedford, MA are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Lynne Scarlett, to Skyler Alan Herring, son of Mrs. Merritt Lee Herring and the late Mr. Morris Herring.
Miss Scarlett is the granddaughter of Mr. W.T. Moore and the late Mrs. Judy Moore of Mountain View, AR and Mrs. Joan Scarlett of Wynne, AR and the late Mr. W.L. Scarlett.
Mr. Herring is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Alan and Marilynne Bank and Mr. and Mrs. Edward and Jean Herring, both of Tupelo, MS.
The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Tupelo High School. She graduated from Mississippi State University in 2013, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta, Psi Chi, and Kappa Omicron Nu Honor Society. The bride-elect works at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where she is a Certified Child Life Specialist.
The prospective groom graduated from Tupelo High School in 2009. He graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2013 where he was the Vice President of the American Marketing Association. Mr. Herring works as a Marketing Coordinator at NELSON in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The couple will exchange vows at 6:00 PM, October 17, 2015 in Tupelo, MS.
