Mr. and Mrs. David East of Amory are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Leslie Karen, to Daniel Mitchell Springfield, son of Mr. Mitchell Springfield and Ms. Norma Springfield of Hamilton, MS.
Miss East is the granddaughter of Mrs. Betty Goodhart and the late Mr. Don Goodhart of Amory, MS; Mrs. Linda Harrison and the late Mr. Norman “Buck” Harrison of Philadelphia, MS, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe East of Houston, MS.
Mr. Springfield is the grandson of Mrs. Shirley Reese and the late Mr. Norman Reese of Hamilton, MS, and Mrs. Margaret Springfield and the late Mr. Willis Springfield of Columbus, MS.
The bride-elect is a 2002 Amory High School where she was a member of the band and co-editor of the yearbook. She graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2007 and currently attends the University of Southern Mississippi. The bride-elect works at the Mississippi Department of Human Services for the Special Investigations Unit.
The prospective groom graduated from Hamilton High School in 2000 where he played baseball and golf. Mr. Springfield is currently employed at Tronox as a Chemical Operator.
The couple will exchange vows at 2:00 p.m., May 14th at First United Methodist Church in Amory, MS. Reception will follow at the First United Methodist Church Education Building in Amory, MS. Friends and family are invited to attend.
