Mr. Duane and Mrs. Sherri Quinn Bullard of Ripley, Mississippi, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Natalie Blair Bullard to Kyle Matthew Floyd, son of Mr. Gary and Mrs. Kathy May Floyd, of New Albany.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Anna Jackson Quinn and the late Kenneth Quinn of New Albany and the late Herman and Bonnie Gurley Bullard of Iuka, Mississippi.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. Bernice and Mrs. Charlene Floyd of New Albany and the late Mr. Hubert E. and Mrs. Gabie Pearl Tutor May of Pontotoc, Mississippi.
Miss Bullard is a 2006 graduate of Ripley High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and Theater from Mississippi State University in 2011. While in college, Miss Bullard was selected to become a member of Delta Gamma Sorority, was an MSU Alumni Delegate, served on the student Senate, was a Fellow of the Appalachian Leadership Honors Program, a member of the MSU Band and Bully’s Belles, and a member of the MSU Fashion Board. She was an MSU Choir Scholar. During high school and college she participated as a Summer Scholar at MSU, both as a member and as an instructor. She received her greatest honor, the Spirit of State Award, her senior year, an honor which only 20 out of 25,000 students are awarded every year at MSU for their outstanding contributions & volunteer work for the college. Since graduation, she has lived and worked in New Albany as co-owner with her parents of Merle Norman and More of Ripley and New Albany.
Mr. Floyd is a 2004 graduate of New Albany High School. He attended Northeast Mississippi Community College, Northwest Mississippi Community College, and then graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 2009. When the BP Gulf oil spill hit in 2010, he moved to Destin FL, where he was certified in HAZMAT and helped with the cleanup before moving back to New Albany to join in working for his family’s business. Since moving back, he has worked with his father at Floyd Tire Store, LLC. of New Albany, which has been family owned and operated through three generations beginning with his grandfather B. L. Floyd.
The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, June 18, at 6:00 p.m. at Lowrey Memorial Baptist Church in Blue Mountain on the Blue Mountain College campus with the reception to follow at their historic home at 416 East Main in New Albany. All friends and relatives are invited to attend the ceremony and the reception.
