Melinda Nowicki and the late Kenneth (Coach No) Nowicki of Pontotoc are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Kayla Danielle Nowicki, to Mathew Preston Bagwell, son of Heather and Bradley Bagwell of Pontotoc, MS.
Kayla is the granddaughter of the late Stanley Ford (Big Daddy) Patterson, the late Evelyn (Big Mama) Patterson, the late Robert (Grandpa) Nowicki and the late Rita (Grandma) Nowicki all of Pontotoc, MS.
Preston is the grandson of Mr. Gerald and Mrs. Kaye Finley of Randolph, Mr. Billy and Mrs. Betty Bagwell of Pontotoc, and Mr. Gary and Mrs. Patricia Jenkins of Thaxton, MS.
The bride-elect is a 2012 graduate of Pontotoc High School where she was a member of the Varsity Powerlifting Team and a member of the Varsity Soccer Team. She graduated from Itawamba Community College and is currently attending Mississippi State University. She will graduate in May of 2017 with a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Health Fitness Studies.
The prospective groom graduated from South Pontotoc High School in 2012, where he was a member of the Varsity Football Team. He graduated from Itawamba Community College and then furthered his education at Northwest Community College. While attending Northwest, Preston was named Outstanding Student, was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, was a Skills USA State Gold Medalist and received Highest Honors. He earned his degree in Agribusiness. Preston is currently employed with Wade, Inc. where he works as a Agricultural Technician.
The couple will exchange vows at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2016. The wedding ceremony, as well as the reception, will be held at Southwind, which is located at 230A Bynum Avenue, Shannon, Mississippi. Friends and family are invited to attend.
