Mr. and Mrs. Tracy Taylor of Tupelo are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Jessica LeAnne, to Marc Garner Hawkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Hawkins of Tupelo, Ms.
Miss Taylor is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sills of Tuscumbia, AL and Mr. and Mrs. Merle “Red” Taylor of Saltillo, MS.
Mr. Hawkins is the grandson of Mrs. Dorothy Hines and the late Charles Garner of Russellville, KY and Mr. and Mrs. George Putnam of Tupelo, MS and the late Buddy Hawkins of Oxford, Ms.
The bride-elect is a 2008 Tupelo High School graduate. She graduated from Itawamba Community College in 2012 with her Associates degree in Radiologic Sciences. She also graduated from the Institute of Ultrasound Diagnostics where she received her certification in Sonography. The bride-elect works at North Mississippi Medical Center where she is an Ultrasound Sonographer and Radiology Technologist.
The prospective groom graduated from Tupelo High School in 2005. He joined the Mississippi Army of National Guard in 2008. He is an Iraq war veteran serving as an OH-58 Kiowa Warrior helicopter mechanic. He served in Iraq from 2009-2010. He retired from the guard in 2016. The prospective groom attended Itawamba Community College in 2011-2012 for Industrial Maintenance. He is currently employed at Hawkeye Industries as the Master Maintenance Technician.
The couple will exchange vows at 5:30 pm, October 15,2016 at the Antler in Tupelo, Ms. Reception will follow at the Antler. Friends and family are invited to attend.
