Leamon Martinez of Ecru, MS and Melinda Gosa of Nettleton, MS are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Brittany Nicole Martinez, to Trent Lane Clark, son of Heath and Tracy Clark of West Union, MS.
Miss Martinez is the paternal granddaughter of Bonnie Gregory and the late Kenneth Gregory and Eloy Martinez of Pontotoc, MS and the maternal granddaughter of the late Virginia & Harold Blaylock of Houston, MS.
Mr. Clark is the maternal grandson of Danny Russell and Kay Russell of West Union, MS and the paternal grandson of Mary Clark and the late James Clark of New Albany, MS.
The bride-elect is a 2006 special honor’s graduate of North Pontotoc Attendance Center. She graduated from Itawamba Community College in 2010. She practiced as a registered nurse while earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the Mississippi University for Women in 2012, where she graduated Cum Laude and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society. In 2015, she completed her Master’s Degree, again graduating Cum Laude, from the Mississippi University for Women’s Family Nurse Practitioner Program. She was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society during this program. The bride-elect is currently practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in New Albany, Mississippi at the Family Clinic of New Albany. She is also actively involved in the Union County Women’s Republican Club.
The prospective groom graduated from West Union Attendance Center in 2007 where he was a member of the 2005 state championship golf team, basketball team, Beta Club, and Future Business Leaders of America. He graduated from Northeast Mississippi Community College in 2009 with an Associate’s Degree in Economics. He then transferred to The University of Mississippi where he graduated with a double major in Banking/Finance and Insurance/Risk Management in 2011. Mr. Clark is currently employed at Riverside Traffic Systems, Incorporated in New Albany, MS.
The couple will exchange vows on December 10th, 2016 at Castle Hill Resort in Oxford, MS with a reception to follow. The couple will reside in Union County and attend worship as members of Macedonia Baptist Church.
