Dr. and Mrs. Samuel Dean Newell, Jr. of Tupelo announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsay Elizabeth, to Fredy Banuelos, son of Mr. and Mrs. Antonio Banuelos of El Paso, Texas. The bride is also the daughter of the late Mr. Jerry David Bowen, Jr.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Bennett, Sr. of McCarley and the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Dean Newell, Sr. of Inverness.
Miss Newell is a 2010 graduate of Tupelo High School and graduated from Mississippi College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She currently works as a registered nurse at North Mississippi Medical Center.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Graciela Diaz de Leon and Mr. Alfredo Diaz de Leon of El Paso, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. Jesus Banuelos of Santa Rita, Zacatecas, Mexico.
Mr. Banuelos is a 2009 graduate of El Dorado High School. He continued his education at Mississippi College where he played soccer for 4 years. He is currently employed with Security Service Federal Credit Union in San Antonio, Texas.
The couple will exchange vows in a small private ceremony on May 27th.
