Surrounded by family and many friends, Catherine Darby Kellum and William Heard Kilpatrick were united in marriage at half after five in the evening on November 22, 2014, at Seaside Chapel in Seaside, Florida.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Mark Jackson Kellum of Tupelo, Mississippi. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Marceline Darby Kellum and the late Dr. Joseph Kellum, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Guy Gravlee junior, all of Tupelo.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Albert Kilpatrick of Seagrove, Florida. He is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. William Heard Kilpatrick of Atlanta, Georgia, and Dr. Carolyn Ann Martin of Tiger, Georgia, and the late Mr. Everett Goodman Gleaton and the late Mary Frances Gleaton of Albany, Georgia.
Reverend Rob Gresham of Charleston, South Carolina, officiated. Soloists, Calvin and Jauna Ellis, of Memphis performed “Come Thou Fount” by Robinson and “My Shepherd Will Supply My Need” by Watts. A beautiful mix of Broadway, Beatles and hymns were provided by Yasya Brown, violinist, and Ann Wilson, cellist.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an exquisite, one-shoulder Monique Lhuillier gown of white tulle and carried a bouquet of white peonies with botanical greenery. They walked down the aisle to Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Edelweiss.”
Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Tyler Kellum Jeter of Ridgeland, Mississippi. Other bridesmaids were Molly Grace Maynard of Starkville, Mississippi, Rachel Williamson Donald and Marilyn Wells Hill of Birmingham, Alabama, Strohm Gaston of New York, New York, Paige Daugherty of Drew, Mississippi, Mary Chris Kellum Moore of Memphis, Tennessee, Haley Kilpatrick Dozier of Atlanta, Georgia, Kelly Kilpatrick of Macon, Georgia, and bride’s proxy, Kelly Diane Quick of Starkville, Mississippi. The bridesmaids wore floor-length mint, chiffon gowns and carried a bouquet of white peonies and botanical greenery.
William Albert Kilpatrick, father of the groom, served as his son’s best man. Brothers-in-law, Paul Christopher Dozier of Atlanta and Cameron Blake Jeter of Ridgeland, served as groomsmen as well as Neil Bailey Alvarez of Charlotte, North Carolina, Richard Hilsman Knight of Phoenix, Arizona, and Owen Reeves Mayfield of Washington, DC.
A reception was held at the Seaside Lyceum Lawn. Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner buffet followed by dancing and music by City Heat of Montgomery, Alabama. After a honeymoon trip to St. John, the couple resides in Albany, Georgia.
