Mr. and Mrs. Craig Caldwell Cannon of Tupelo are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Catherine Alexandra, to Kyle Gregory Fitzgerald, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gregg Byron Fitzgerald of New Albany, MS.
Miss Cannon is the granddaughter of Mr. Tommy Waddle of Shannon, MS and the late Mrs. Fay Waddle Harris of Tupelo, MS. She is also the granddaughter of the late James and Mable Cannon of Tupelo, MS.
Mr. Fitzgerald is the grandson of Mrs. Mary Wilder and the late Mr. James Wilder of New Albany, MS and the late Mr. and Mrs. Byron Fitzgerald of New Albany, MS.
The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Tupelo High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society, Anchor Club, and Future Teachers of America. She also served as a Class Officer. She graduated from the University of Mississippi in May of 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. In August of 2013, she graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Master’s in Literacy. The bride-elect is employed by the Tupelo Public School District. She teaches second grade at Joyner Elementary School.
The prospective groom graduated from Ingomar High School in 2007 where he was a member of the varsity basketball team. He graduated from the University of Mississippi in December of 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Studies, and is currently pursing a Master’s in Educational Leadership at Arkansas State University. Mr. Fitzgerald is employed by Desoto County School District where he teaches and coaches high school basketball.
The couple will exchange vows on July 18, 2015 in Oxford, MS at six o’ clock in the evening. A reception will follow at The Lyric in Oxford, MS. Family and friends are invited to attend.
