Whitlock – Parsons
Rodney and Amy Windham of Iuka are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Whitlock, to Justin Parsons, son of Terry and Alisa Parsons of Iuka.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Phyllis Warren of Tupelo and Joyce and Wayne Windham of Amory.
Miss Whitlock is a 2007 graduate of Itawamba Agricultural High School. She gradated in 2010 from the Itawamba Community College with an Associate degree in Arts. She is an honor graduate of the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and minors in English and Social Studies. Honors and organizations include Kappa Delta Phi Honor Society, Sigma Alpha Lambda National Leadership and Honor Organization, National Education Association, Mississippi Association for Educators, and the class secretary of Teachers of Tomorrow. Miss Whitlock is presently employed as a teacher at Corinth Elementary School.
The prospective groom is the grandson of ImoGean Parsons and the late 0’dale Parsons of Iuka, and the late Milford and Nell Moore of Iuka.
Mr. Parsons is a graduate of Tishomingo County High School, where he played and received awards for basketball. He is a graduate of The University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education. He is presently employed as a high school teacher and head golf coach, middle school head basketball coach and assistant football coach at Corinth High School.
The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, June 13th, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Iuka Country Club in Iuka Mississippi. A reception will follow at the same location. All friends and family are invited to attend the ceremony and reception.
