Mr. and Mrs. Travis Estes Parker, Jr., of Oxford announce the engagement of their daughter, Neal Ann Parker to Tommy Vincent Chamblee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Chamblee and Ms. Joyce Johnston
of Fulton.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Neal of Cleveland and Mrs. Travis Parker and the late Mr. Parker of Drew.
Miss Parker is a graduate of Bayou Academy and The University of Mississippi where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. While at Ole Miss, she was President of the Student Alumni Council and a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, Order of Omega National Honor Society, Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities, and the Trent Lott Leadership Institute. She was chosen as the 2007 Ole Miss Idol and elected to serve as Senior Homecoming Maid. She is currently employed at The University of Mississippi where she serves as a Regional Admissions Counselor.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Johnston of Fulton and Mr. Bill Chamblee and the late Mrs. Bill Chamblee also of Fulton.
Mr. Chamblee is a graduate of Itawamba Agricultural High School and The University of Mississippi where he received a Bachelor of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Public Policy Leadership. He is also a graduate of the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College at Ole Miss and the Trent Lott Leadership Institute. While at Ole Miss, Mr. Chamblee was awarded the Taylor Medal and was a member of the Fraternity of Delta Psi, Phi Beta Kappa, and the Student Alumni Council. He served as an intern to the Scottish Parliament and was chosen as a national finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship. Mr. Chamblee is a Certified Public Accountant and serves as Vice President at Diversified Trust in Memphis.
The couple will exchange vows in a ceremony on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Oxford. All family and friends are invited to attend.
