Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Clayton Short of Tupelo are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Elizabeth Owens Short, to David Addams Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Taylor of Bowling Green, KY. Miss Short is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Ferrell Tate of Tupelo, and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Clayton Short of Tishomingo, MS. Mr. Taylor is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Farris Thompson of Greenville, MS and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ormel Taylor of Portsmouth, OH.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Tupelo High School. She attended The University of Mississippi where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. Miss Short received a Masters in Counselor Education from The University of New Orleans. The bride-elect is a Clinical Counselor in Newport Beach, CA.
The prospective groom graduated from Nimitz High School in Houston, TX. He attended Pepperdine University where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Management. Mr. Taylor then received a Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University and works in pharmaceuticals.
The couple will exchange vows in Newport Beach, CA on August 1st, 2015.
