Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hester of Pontotoc, MS are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Autumn Danielle Hester, to Devin Kyle Martin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Martin of Pontotoc, MS.
Miss Hester is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Henderson of Tupelo, MS, and the late Mr. Adrian “Pete” Hester of Shannon, MS, and the late Ms. Patricia White of Shannon, MS.
Mr. Martin is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Little of Pontotoc, MS, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Blake Martin of Pontotoc, MS.
The bride-elect is a 2012 special honor graduate of South Pontotoc High School. She was a special honor graduate in 2014 of Itawamba Community College, where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and won the overall accounting award. In 2016, she graduated from the University of Mississippi, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree from the Patterson School of Accountancy. While at the university, she was a member of Gamma Beta Phi, Golden Key International Honour Society, and Phi Beta Lambda. The bride-elect is employed by BancorpSouth as a mortgage cash management accounting specialist.
The prospective groom graduated from South Pontotoc High School in 2011. He was a special honor graduate in 2013 of Itawamba Community College, where he was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. He studied criminal justice at the University of Mississippi, and was the recipient of the Robert T. Warren Award for Outstanding Criminal Justice Student. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda and the vice-president of the Legal Studies Organization. Mr. Martin also graduated from the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officer Training Academy as a member of Basic Class 251 in Pearl, MS. The prospective groom is employed with the City of Oxford as a police officer.
The couple will exchange vows at 5:30 p.m. on September 24, 2016, at Mississippi State University’s Chapel of Memories in Starkville, MS. A reception will follow. Friends and family are invited to attend.
