Tommy and Sharon Young of Pontotoc are pleased to announce the upcoming wedding of their daughter Kelsie Marie Young, to Samuel Thomas Cruse, son of Tony and Donna Cruse of Pontotoc, MS.
Miss Young is the granddaughter of Billy and Peggy Austin and Mrs. Shirley Young and the late LaDon Young, all of Pontotoc, MS.
The bride-elect is a 2009 honor graduate of Pontotoc High School where she was a member of the Pontotoc Warrior Band and was voted Miss PHS. She graduated from Itawamba Community College and Mississippi State University where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. Kelsie graduated in 2015 from the University of Mississippi with a Masters Degree in Counselor Education and Leadership. The bride-elect is now an employee of the Pontotoc City School District as a high school counselor.
Cruse is the grandson of Mrs. Betty Kizziah and the late Thomas Kizziah of Birmingham, AL and the late Boyd and Bobbie Cruse of Tupelo, MS.
The prospective groom is a 2009 honor graduate of South Pontotoc High School. He played baseball at Itawamba Community College and Blue Mountain College. He graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Marketing.
The groom is currently employed at Bank of Pontotoc.
The couple will exchange vows at 10:30 in the morning, September 10, at Kingfisher Lodge in Tupelo, MS. Brunch will immediately follow. Friends and family are invited to attend.
