Maggie Hill and Craig Wood

Duncan of West Point, Mississippi are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Maggie Annette Hill, to Craig Laughter Wood, son of Mr. Richard Wood and Mrs. Carolyn Laughter of Madison, WIsconsin. Miss Hill is the daughter of Mr. George T. “Tommy” Hill of Woodlood, Mississippi.

Miss Hill is the granddaughter of Mrs. Lynette R. Armstrong of West Point, Mississippi and the late Mr. R.C. Bobby Robertson, Junior and Mr. and Mrs. John A. Hill of Woodland, Mississippi. Miss Hill is the great granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.O. “Red” Hardin and the late Mr. and Mrs. R.C. “Bob” Robertson, Senior.

Mr. Wood is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Laughter of Love, Mississippi and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Weigen, Junior of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.

The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Oak Hill Academy where she was a member of the OHA Hall Of Fame, Anchor Club, and National Honor Society. She graduated from Mississippi State University in 2009 where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations. Miss. Hill graduated from Mississippi State University in 2010 with a Masters in Sports Administration. She is currently pursuing a Master in Secondary Education. The bride-elect is a math instructor at East Oktibbeha County High School in Crawford, Mississippi.

The prospective groom graduated from Madison West High School in Madison, Wisconsin in 2003 where he was a member of the wrestling team.. He graduated from Mississippi State University in 2012 where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Information Technology Systems. Mr. Wood pursued a teaching certificate and is currently employed at East Oktibbeha County High School as a social studies instructor..

The couple will exchange vows on October 18, 2014 at 6 p.m. in Starkville with a reception to follow.

Miss Hurt is the daughter of the late Billy Tigrett of Blue Mountain, MS and the granddaughter of the late Maxine and T.J. Hurt of Ripley, MS and the late Mark and Leatrice Tigrett of Blue Mountain, MS.

Mr. White is the grandson of Luther and Pearl Davis of Baldwyn, MS and Gearld and Janice White of Guntown, MS.

The bride-elect attended Pine Grove High School. Miss Hurt is currently employed at Tippah County Nursing Home in Ripley, MS.

The prospective groom attended East Union High School . Mr. White is currently employed at Pepsi Cola of Tupelo.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Hubert and Marcel Pettus Jones of Greenhill, AL and the late Winford and the late Ann Talley Morrow of Savannah, TN.

Molly Morrow is a 2010 graduate of Pontotoc High School. She graduated with her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Itawamba Community College in 2014 where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and won the Annette Carr – Most Caring award for student nursing. Molly currently works at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis where she is a ICU Registered Nurse.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Earl and the late Cleo Adams of Baldwyn and G.M. “Doc” and Nancy Freeman of Endville.

Blake Adams graduated from Baldwyn High School in 2007. He graduated in 2012 with Cum Laude honors with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer and Information Science from the University of Mississippi. Blake also graduated with a Master’s of Science degree in Engineering Science from the University of Mississippi in 2014.

The couple will exchange vows on November 1, 2014 at 4 p.m. at the Fellowship Christian Retreat at Crow’s Neck in Tishomingo, MS. Reception will follow at the same location. Friends and family are invited to attend.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Rev. Wayne and Pauline Yarbrough of Saltillo, and the late Ruby Harrison of Bellefontaine and the late W. D. Harrison of Eupora.
Miss Harrison is a 2005 graduate of Baldwyn High School, and a 2010 graduate of Northeast Mississippi Community College with an associate degree in dental hygiene. While at NEMCC she received a Community Service Award in Dental Hygiene. She is employed as a dental hygienist by Dr. Kenneth Johnson, Pediatric Dentistry.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Barbara Murphree and the late James Ottis Murphree of Pontotoc, and the late Jesse and Oguerita Poe of Troy.
Mr. Poe is a 2003 honor graduate of South Pontotoc High School, and a 2008 cum laude graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science from the College of Agriculture and Life Science. He is employed by Poe Brothers of Pontotoc.

Jordan Hardy and Harold Haney III

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Leonard Adams and Mr. George Bennett Hardy and the late Sarah Dorothy Hardy, all of Athens.
The prospective bride graduated from the University of Alabama School of Education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. While at Alabama, the bride was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. After graduation, Miss Hardy moved to Oxford, Mississippi, where she is currently a fourth grade teacher at Della Davidson. In 2012, Miss Hardy was the First-Year Teacher of the Year for the Oxford School District.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Bettye Morrow Butler and the late Mr. James Nesbit Butler and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Eugene Haney, all of Oxford.
Mr. Haney is a graduate of The University of Mississippi School of Applied Science with a degree in Hotel/Hospitality Management. While at Ole Miss, Hunter was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order and studied abroad in London, England. He is currently completing a master’s degree in Public Administration through Belhaven University in Jackson. The groom was a food and beverage director in Athens, Alabama, before returning to Oxford in 2011, where he is currently employed in the Human Resource Department of North Mississippi Regional Center.

The bride-elect is a 2009 graduate of Tupelo High School, a 2011 graduate of Itawamba Community College where she was a member of the Lady Indians Softball Team for two years and a 2013 graduate of the University of Mississippi where she received her B.S. in Exercise Science. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and is currently continuing her education in Radiologic Technology at NEMCC with plans to graduate in May of 2015.
The prospective groom is a 2010 graduate of Saltillo High School and a 2014 graduate of the University of Mississippi with a B.A in Biochemistry. He is one of the founding members of Chi Psi Fraternity on campus. He is currently pursuing his Masters degree at the University of Mississippi in Chemistry. He works at the university as a graduate assistant in the chemistry department.

He graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2008 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Human Resource Management. Mr. Griffith is currently employed at Orbinox USA as the regional sales manager.

Mr. Hill is a graduate of Saltillo High School where he was a member of the baseball team and was named 1st Team All State 5A Division Player of the Year. He played baseball at East Mississippi Community College and will attend Itawamba Community College in the Spring semester. He is employed at Big Oaks in Saltillo.

She is currently working toward a Master’s Degree of Education in Career and Technical Education at William Carey University. Ms. Bounds is employed at Water Valley School District in Water Valley.
The prospective groom graduated from Ripley High School in 2005. He graduated from Northeast Mississippi Community College in 2007. He is currently continuing his education in Business Administration. Mr. Lefler is currently employed at Tri-State Truck Center, Incorporated in Tupelo.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late J.Q. and Nell Lesley of Mantachie, and Lucy Pomeroy and the late Julius Fredrick Pomeroy Jr. of Eufaula, AL.
Mr. Pomeroy is a graduate of Trinity Episcopal Day School in Natchez, and an honor graduate of Itawamba Community College with an associate degree in Applied Science. He is employed as a Disassembly Technician by UAM.

Ricky Payne, in honor of the late Valerie Kirby Payne, of Tremont, is pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Stephanie Lee Payne, to Joseph Paul Jones, son of the late Joe and Maxine Adair Jones, of Fulton. Stephanie is the granddaughter of Paul and Glennie Price Kirby of Fulton and Bobby Payne and the late JoAnne Edwards Payne of Wren. Joseph is the grandson of the late John and Pauline Thomas Jones of Tremont and the late Douglas and Dellie Pate Adair of Tishomingo.
Miss Payne is a homeschool graduate and graduate of Itawamba Community College and the Mississippi University for Women, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. At ICC and the W, she was involved with choir and the Writing Center. She is employed as an English and science teacher at Tremont Attendance Center.
Mr. Jones is a graduate of Tremont High School, Itawamba Community College, and the University of Mississippi, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Education. At ICC, he served as president of Phi Theta Kappa and received the English award. He is a National Board Certified Teacher employed as an English teacher at Itawamba Agricultural High School and as an adjunct English instructor at Itawamba Community College. He is a funeral director’s assistant at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home and is the youth minister at Tremont First Baptist Church.
The couple will unite in holy matrimony at their home church, Tremont First Baptist Church, on Friday, November 14, 2014, at 7 p.m. A reception will follow in the Family Life Center. All family and friends are invited to share in their celebration.

The groom is the son of Rev. Hulon and Faye Patterson of Jackson, Tennessee. He is the grandson of the late Will and Sudie Murley of Henderson, Tennessee and Buford and Flossie Patterson of Henderson, Tennessee.

Doctor and Mrs. Vern Christensen of Amory announce the engagement of their daughter Kylie Robin Christensen to Kevin Wesley Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Miller of Bellingham, Washington.

The Bride-elect is a 2012 Amory High School graduate and is currently a Junior at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah majoring in Family Life Science with a minor in Art Education. A model for the Fine Arts Department, Miss Christensen is also an Academic Scholarship Recipient. After returning this summer from internationally traveling, Miss Christensen was asked for her hand in marriage, on bended knee, by Mr. Miller on a mountain top above the Pacific Ocean.

A 2008 graduate of Squalicum High School in Bellingham, Washington, the prospective groom played college football before serving a volunteer two-year Christian mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Concepcion Chile from 2010-2012. Upon his return to Brigham Young University, he met his fiancé. Mr. Miller is an Economics major with a minor in Global Business/Literacy and Spanish. His career plans include working as an Economics Consultant and obtaining his Masters of Business Administration.

On December 20, 2014, the couple will be “Sealed for Time and All Eternity” in the San Diego California Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints followed by a Ring Ceremony and Reception in the Parterre Gardens at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines.

She is presently employed with Butler Snow LLP in Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. Hankins is a 2003 graduate of Ripley High School. He received a B.S. degree in finance from the University of Mississippi and is presently Vice-President of Hankins Forest Products, Inc. and Hankins, Inc., in Ripley. The wedding will be solemnized December 13 at 3 p.m. at Jumpertown United Methodist Church. The Reverend Jason Franklin will officiate and a reception will follow in the Family Life Center. Holly Smart Corbin of Booneville, and Michael Paul Poland of Guntown, were united in marriage on September 20, 2014, in a ceremony surrounded by family and friends at Serendipity in Guntown. Rev. Trey Lambert of Booneville performed the ceremony. Amanda Mattox of Booneville, Svetlana Kaltchenko of Tupelo, and Cody Stephens of Jumpertown provided music.
The bride is the daughter of Freddie and Lynn Corbin of Jumpertown. She is the granddaughter of the late Clifford and Ruby Smart of Jumpertown, and Ellis and Kathleen Thornton and the late Gene Corbin, all of Jumpertown.
The groom is the son of Paul and Sandra Poland of Guntown. He is the grandson of the late Roy and Betty McNutt of Tupelo, and the late Major E.L. and Angie Poland of Belden.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a romantic lace applique that draped perfectly over a silky charmeuse satin, highlighting a trailing overskirt. Both the neckline and the back featured a deep V. She carried a bouquet of five different kinds of greenery made up of green hydrangeas, peach David Austin roses, white stock, and hot pink Gerber daisies with rhinestone brooches, tied off with the handkerchief of her cousin, Bric Turner.
The maid of honor was her sister, Annie Ruby Corbin of Jumpertown. Bridesmaids were Meagan Scott of Tupelo, Lori Blansett of Booneville, Jenna Childs of Baldwyn, Tiffany Duncan of Booneville, Anna Palmer of Ripley, Lane Poland, sister-in-law of the groom, of Guntown, and Monica Daniels of Booneville. Flower girls were Sophia Smart of Booneville and Brenyn Smart of Kossuth, both cousins of the bride. The bridesmaids wore short chiffon dresses in eight different styles and guava in color; the maid of honor wore an aqua blue dress. They carried bouquets of cream carnations with coral hyper acorn berries and white babies breath tied off with rhinestones. Decorating and flowers were provided by Corner Gifts and Florist of Booneville.
Paul Poland, father of the groom, of Guntown, was best man. Groomsmen were Matt Rushing of Mooreville, Jeremy Lawson of Tupelo, Joel Driskell of Tupelo, Jeremy Taylor of Tupelo, Marshall Jenkins of Tupelo, Jonathan Poland, brother of the groom, of Guntown, and Dustin Talley of Saltillo. Junior groomsman was Ty Corbin, son of the bride. The banner bearer was Reece Poland, nephew of the groom. Ushers were Coy Perrigo and Justin Perrigo, cousins of the bride, both of Jumpertown, and Ryan Rodriquez of Saltillo.
A reception followed at the same location as the ceremony took place, Serendipity, where guests enjoyed a meal and music by The Mink Brothers Band.
The couple resides in Guntown, where the bride works as an RN at Magnolia Regional Health Center Emergency Room in Corinth, and the groom is manager at the downtown Sherwin Williams Store in Tupelo

Mr. Charles Watson and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dennis of Tupelo are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Mallori Neile Watson, to Groom Michael Anthony McBryde, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tony McBryde of Ripley.

Miss Watson is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Huey Collins of Shannon, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Seamster of Plantersville and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Watson of Tupelo.

Mr. McBryde is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Richardson of Ripley and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby McBryde of Ripley.

Miss Watson is a 2009 graduate of Tupelo High School. She graduated from Mississippi University for Women in 2013 where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in nursing. The bride-elect works as a registered nurse at North Mississippi Medical Center.

The Prospective groom graduated as an honor student from Ripley High School in 2009 where he was a member of the football team. He graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology.

The couple will exchange vows at 5 p.m., Janurary 10, 2015 at Brewer United Methodist Church. Reception will follow at the Elvis Presley Event Center in Tupelo.
