Merrie Kyle Langley and Chesley James Heatherly request the honor of your company at the celebration of their union. They will be married Saturday, the eleventh of March at half past five in the evening at Kingfisher Lodge in Tupelo, Mississippi with reception to follow.

Merrie Kyle is the daughter of Sandi Langley Haire and the granddaughter of Jimmy and Martha Langley.

Chesley is the son of Curtis and Kathy Heatherly of Vernon, Alabama. The grandson of Carolyn Heatherly and the late James Heatherly of Vernon, Alabama, also Dan and Nell Tomlin of Kennedy, Alabama.

Merrie Kyle is a 2010 graduate of Tupelo High School. She graduated in 2014 from Mississippi State University with a BA in Psychology. While at Mississippi State she was also a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Merrie Kyle obtained her teaching degree from the University of Mississippi and is presently a Special Education Teacher with Tupelo Public School District.

Chesley is a 2006 graduate of Lamar County High School. He graduated in 2013 from Mississippi State University earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry. He is self employed by Heatherly Timber Services.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Bennett, Sr. of McCarley and the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Dean Newell, Sr. of Inverness.
Miss Newell is a 2010 graduate of Tupelo High School and graduated from Mississippi College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She currently works as a registered nurse at North Mississippi Medical Center.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Graciela Diaz de Leon and Mr. Alfredo Diaz de Leon of El Paso, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. Jesus Banuelos of Santa Rita, Zacatecas, Mexico.
Mr. Banuelos is a 2009 graduate of El Dorado High School. He continued his education at Mississippi College where he played soccer for 4 years. He is currently employed with Security Service Federal Credit Union in San Antonio, Texas.
The couple will exchange vows in a small private ceremony on May 27th.

Mr. Akins is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Clifton “Cleo” Wilbanks of Ripley, Mississippi and the late Mrs. Mary Agnes Akins White and the late Oliver Leon Akins of Blue Mountain, Mississippi.

The bride-elect is a 2009 graduate of Tupelo High School. She graduated from Delta State University in 2013 where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The bride-elect is employed by North Mississippi Medical Center Women’s Hospital in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit as a Registered Nurse.

The prospective groom graduated from Ripley High School in 2005. He graduated from Northeast Mississippi Community College in 2007 where he earned his Associate Degree in Accounting. He continued his education at the University of Mississippi where he earned his Bachelor of Banking and Finance and Bachelor of Managerial Finance in 2010. Mr. Akins is currently employed by the Mississippi Department of Banking where he works as a Bank Examiner.

The couple will exchange vows at six thirty in the evening on April 1, 2017 at Southwind in Shannon, Mississippi with reception to follow. Friends and family are invited to attend.

Emily Kandiace Gray and Stephen Kody Brown

Emily Kandiace Gray of Fulton, and Stephen Kody Brown of Mantachie, were united in marriage at 4:00 p.m. September 24, 2016 at Hewlett Barns in Starkville. Bro. Terry Booker of Mantachie per- formed the ceremony. Mrs. Joyce Booker of Mantachie provided a program of pre-nuptial music.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Emily Franks Gray of Fulton and the late Mr. Garvin Gray. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Gaynell Jackson and Mr. Roy Hugh Franks, both of Fulton, Mrs. JoAnn Gray and the late Mr. Sam Earl Gray of Fulton.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Brown of Mantachie. He is the grandson of Mr. Sonny Stephens and the late Mrs. Linda Stephens and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown, all of Mantachie.

Escorted by her brother, Kody Gray, the bride wore a Justin Alexander strapless gown in the mer- maid design. Her floor length gown featured deli- cate lace appliques with a sweetheart neckline defined by Swarovski crystals. A chapel length lengh train accented with crystals and lace appliques completed her ensemble. Her headpiece was accented with a clip designed and completed by her mother. Her fiance designed her bouquet of coral roses, white lilies and eryngium and was accented with a pendant containing her father’s photo.

The maid of honor was Christine Jackson of Versailles, Kentucky. Kristin Holt, sister of the groom, of Mantachie, served as bridesmaid. The attendants wore floor length waterfall sweetheart chiffon Allure gowns featuring asymmetrical ruch- ing throughout the bodice and one-shoulder strap. They carried bouquets of dahlias, hydrangeas and nandina. Flower girls were Jalen Holt and Mattie Brooke Holt, nieces of the groom, and Elyssa Nail, cousin of the bride. The attendants wore off white floor length gowns and carried baskets of naturally dried flower petals.

Ken Brown, father of the groom, of Mantachie was best man. Groomsman was Matthew Holt, brother- in-law of the groom, of Mantachie. Ring bearers were Cole Basham and Cade Nail, cousins of the bride.

A reception followed at The Stables in Starkville where guests enjoyed a huge variety of delicious dishes and music by DJ Mac.

Following a honeymoon to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple resides in Starkville. The bride is an Extension Research Associate with the Mississippi State Extension Service in Starkville. The groom is the owner of Twigs Nursery and Landscaping in Starkville.

The bride-elect is a 2010 honors graduate of Tupelo High School. She graduated from the Meek School of Journalism at the University of Mississippi in 2014. She will begin pursuing her master’s degree at Mississippi State University in August. The bride-elect works for Tupelo Public School District as an English and Spanish teacher at Tupelo High School.

The prospective groom is a 2009 graduate of Mortimer Jordan High School in Morris, Alabama. He graduated from Mississippi State University in 2014. Mr. Pugh is currently employed at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Mississippi in Blue Springs, MS where he is a Quality Engineer.

The couple will exchange vows at six-thirty in the evening on May 27, 2017 at Southwind in Shannon, MS. Reception will follow at the venue. Friends and family are invited to attend.

Merry Johnson and Kevin Huddleston

Mr. and Mrs. Bobby and Cathie Johnson of Iuka, Mississippi are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Merry Johnson to Kevin Huddleston, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ricky and Debbie Huddleston of Booneville, Mississippi.

In 2016, Ms. Johnson went on to graduate with honors from the University of Mississippi School of Law where she was an executive editor for the Mississippi Law Journal. Ms. Johnson is currently employed as an attorney at McDavid and Associates in Oxford, Mississippi.

Mr. Huddleston is a 2009 graduate of New Site High School. He is currently employed at Hall’s Construction in Oxford, Mississippi.

Carley will graduate in May 2017 with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine and will begin work as a veterinarian at The Mannsdale Animal Clinic in Madison, Mississippi, in June 2017.

The groom is the grandson of Mrs. Marjorie Giles Helmick and Mrs. Betty Denton Langston and the late Mr. Judson Davis Langston, all of Brookhaven.

Mr. Langston is a 2005 honor graduate of Brookhaven High School. In 2009, he received his Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from the University of Southern Mississippi. Giles received his MD from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi in 2016 and is currently in residency at UMMC in Emergency Medicine.

The couple will exchange vows on May 20 at First Baptist Church in Oxford, Mississippi. A reception will follow at the Powerhouse in Oxford. After a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the Doctors Langston will reside in Jackson, Mississippi.

Mr. Waller is the proprietor of Outback Steakhouse in Tupelo, MS. He also serves as a board member on the Convention and Business Bureau and is the President of North MS Restaurant Association.

Miss Graddy is a graduate of Mississippi College and now works at the Mustard Seed in Brandon as the special care facilitator.

Kyle is the grandson of Eleanor Smith and the late Jack Smith of Columbus, Ohio, and John and Doris Heading of Beavercreek, Ohio.

Mr. Smith is the music director at Pinelake Church in Brandon.

The prospective groom graduated from Lewisburg High School in 2011 with honors. He graduated from The University of Mississippi in 2016 with a bachelor degree in Accountancy. Mr. Jones is currently employed at Magnolia Lighting where he is an Inventory Controller.

The bride-elect is a 2010 graduate of San Antonio Christian High School in San Antonio, Texas. She is a 2014 graduate of the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. While at Ole Miss, Erin was a member of Phi Mu Sorority and served as social chairman. She was a member of Kappa Delta Pi honor society. Erin earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in 2015 from the University of Mississippi. Miss Mattox is currently employed with Desoto County Schools where she is an Algebra I teacher and cheerleading sponsor at Hernando High School.

The prospective groom is a 2009 graduate of New Albany High School. He is an Eagle Scout. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mississippi State University in 2013. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Clinical Exercise Physiology. While at Mississippi State, Jacob was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Jacob earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Christian Brothers University in 2016. Mr. Rowland is currently working as a Physician Assistant at Northeast Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Tupelo, Mississippi.

The couple will exchange vows on May 27 at 6:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in New Albany with a reception to follow at the home of the bride’s parents in New Albany. All family and friends are invited to attend.
