Anne Elise Parks and Nick Pilipovich

Mr. and Mrs. William Alvis Parks, Jr. of New Albany announce the engagement of their daughter Anne Elise of St. Louis, Missouri, to Nicholas Steven Pilipovich, also of St. Louis, son of Doctor and Mrs. Steven Michael Pilipovich of Terre Haute, Indiana.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Childers of Ripley, Mrs. Ralph Hershfelt and the late Mr. Hershfelt of Tupelo, and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Alvis Parks of New Albany.
Miss Parks is a 2007 honor graduate of New Albany High School, where she was selected to the Hall of Fame. She is a 2011 summa cum laude graduate of Mississippi State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Geoscience, with a major emphasis in Broadcast Meteorology, and a minor emphasis in Communication. While at MSU, Anne Elise was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority, serving as Vice President-Education, and was the recipient of the chapter’s highest award, the Eleanor Smith Slaughter award. She was a student in the Shackouls Honors College, vice-president of Alumni Delegates, and served as an MSU Diamond Girl. She was elected 2008 Sophomore Homecoming Maid and was selected MSU Beauty all four years. During her senior year, Anne Elise was chosen Sigma Chi Derby Darling, received the Spirit of State Award, and was elected the 2010 Homecoming Queen. Upon graduation, she accepted a three- year position with WTWO-NBC 2 News in Terre Haute, Indiana. In 2014 she relocated to St. Louis where she currently works as a meteorologist with KTVI-Fox 2 News.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Joseph Bridwell and Mrs. Louis Pilipovich and the late Mr. Pilipovich, all of Terre Haute, Indiana.
Mr. Pilipovich is a 2009 honor graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School in Terre Haute, Indiana. He is a 2013 graduate of the nation’s top undergraduate engineering school, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. While at Rose-Hulman, Nick played catcher all four years for the Engineers. He was a member of the Biomedical Engineering Society and a member of Triangle Fraternity, serving as Assistant Social Chairman. He was a Dean’s List Scholar and was the recipient of the prestigious Merit Scholarship. Nick completed advanced studies at the Arrhythmia Technologies Institute in Greenville, South Carolina, with an emphasis in cardiac device technology. He recently passed the International Board of Heart Rhythm Exam (IBHRE) and is now a Certified Cardiac Device Specialist. He is currently employed by Biotronik as a Field Clinical Specialist.
The couple will exchange vows on October 31, 2015 at Central Presbyterian Church in St. Louis, Missouri.
