Mr. and Mrs. Gary King of Michigan City, Mississippi, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Samantha Gail, to John Taylor Dees, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kent Dees of Tupelo, Mississippi.
Miss King is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John F. King of Little Rock, Arkansas, the late Mr. John Cason Selph of Memphis, Tennessee, and the late Ms. Nancy Taylor Selph of Memphis, Tennessee.
Mr. Dees is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Layne Dees of Booneville, Mississippi, and Mrs. Doris Sisk Bryan and the late Mr. Jim Bryan of Nettleton, Mississippi.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Rossville Christian Academy. In 2014, she graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Miss King is employed with Bigbee Valley Civil.
The future groom is a graduate of Booneville High School. He earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from Mississippi State University in 2015. Mr. Dees is employed with Georgia-Pacific Leaf River Cellulose where he is an Electrical Reliability Engineer.
The couple will exchange vows on February 11, 2017, at 4 p.m. at Pickwick Landing Inn in Counce, Tennessee, with a reception to follow.
