Miss Parker is the granddaughter of the late Mr. William Roy Young Jr. and Mrs. Sue Young of Oxford, Mississippi and the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Parker of Oxford, Mississippi.

Mr. Sheffield is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Spradling, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Harris, and the late Mr. William Sheffield and Mrs. Bonnie Sheffield all of Fulton, Mississippi.

The bride-elect is a 2012 honor graduate of Saltillo High School. She attends Mississippi State where she studies Occupational Therapy. She is a member of the pre-medicine honor society, Alpha Epsilon Delta, and is in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

The prospective groom graduated with honors from Itawamba Agricultural High School in 2011. He will graduate in May of 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University. Mr. Sheffield is currently employed Corbett Legge and Associates.

The couple will exchange vows at 6:30 in the evening, May 9th at First Baptist Church in Fulton, Mississippi. Reception will follow at the home of Phil and Mary Morris, 203 East Owens Street, Fulton, MS. Friends and family are invited to attend.

Mr. William Scott Collins and Ms. Helen Reed Collins of Tupelo are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Christine, to Robert Michael Stroup, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael David Stroup of Tupelo.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. James Carroll Collins of Tupelo, and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Raymond Reed of Tupelo. The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Leon Stroup of Tipton, Ind., and Mr. Robert O’Neal McNeece and the late Mrs. Frances Hall McNeece of Tupelo.

An alumna of Tupelo High School, Miss Collins graduated summa cum laude from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn., with a Bachelor of Arts in Commerce and Business. She was a member of the Kappa Beta chapter of Chi Omega. She earned a Master of Professional Accountancy degree at Mississippi State University and is now a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Tennessee. She is currently employed in the assurance practice of Ernst and Young, LLP in Memphis, Tenn.

Also a Tupelo High School graduate, Mr. Stroup graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. While at Mississippi State, he was captain of the ultimate frisbee team and was a member of the disc golf team. He now works at Big River Engineering and Manufacturing in Memphis, Tenn., as the quality engineering manager.

The couple will exchange vows on May 16, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Tupelo. A reception will follow at Park Heights.

Jimmy and Betsy Collums of Houlka announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Nancy Christine Collums to Danny Austin Burgess. He is the son of Larry and Amanda Burgess of Houlka, and Dewayne and Stacy Collums of Big Creek.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Melba Aron and the late Billy Aron of Houlka, and Jimmy Allen Collums and the late Nancy Collums of Houlka.

The groom is the grandson of Barney Norman of Big Creek and the late Vicki McCormick of Bruce, and Judy Burgess and the late Larry Burgess, Sr., of Houlka.

The bride-elect is a 2010 honor graduate of Houlka Attendance Center. She is currently in her last semester at the University of Mississippi completing a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education Degree with a special education endorsement.

The groom is a 2013 graduate of Houlka Attendance Center. He is currently in his last semester at Itawamba Community College completing an Electrical Technology Degree.

The couple will exchange vows on May 30, 2015, at 6:00 P.M. at the home of Jimmy and Betsy Collums at 130 CR 409 in Houlka. All friends and family are invited to attend the wedding with a reception to follow.

Mr. Childers is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Thompson of Pontotoc and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Childers of Ripley.

The bride-elect is a 2006 Honor Graduate of Pontotoc High School. She graduated from The University of Mississippi in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She is also a 2012 graduate of Mississippi University for Women with a Master of Science Degree in Speech – Language Pathology. The bride will be employed with LTC 2 Rehab in Columbus.

The prospective groom is a 1998 graduate of Ripley High School. He is a 2002 graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management. Mr. Childers is currently employed as a Marine Terminals Manager for Enterprise Refined Products, Inc.

The couple will exchange vows on May 23, 2015 in a private ceremony with family and close friends at Oak Grove Chapel in New Albany, Mississippi.

She graduated from Northeast Mississippi Community College in 2013 where she earned an Associate Degree in Nursing. She will receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the Mississippi University for Women this summer. She works at Magnolia Regional Health Center where she is a Registered Nurse.

The prospective groom graduated from Booneville High School in 2005 where he was a member of the Hall of Fame. He graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2009 with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree with a minor in Marketing. He received his Master’s of Accountancy in 2010 from the University of Mississippi. He is currently employed at the Tennessee Valley Authority where he works as a Distributor Analyst.

The bride-elect is a 2010 graduate of Mississippi School For Mathematics and Science where she was a Mississippi Scholar. She attends Mississippi State University and will graduate this December with a Bachelor’s in Accountancy and a Bachelor’s of Science in Culinology.

The prospective groom was home-schooled and received his GED in 2009. He graduated from Holmes Community College in 2011 where he received an Associate’s degree in Computer Science. Mr. Richmond is currently employed at Ashley Furniture. Mr. Richmond is also a Specialist of the 173rd Quartermaster’s Company in the Army Reserves based in Greenwood, Mississippi.

Miss Tucker is a 2013 honor graduate of Nettleton High School, and is currently attending Itawamba Community College, working towards her Associates of Applied Science where she will graduate in 2016 and begin a career as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

She is currently employed as an Event Coordinator at Busylad Rent-All of Tupelo.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Marian Baxter of Baldwyn, the late Jim Baxter of Baldwyn, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jap Reynolds of Baldwyn.
Mr. Baxter is a graduate of Tupelo High School, where he played on the varsity basketball, football, and baseball teams, member of fellowship of Christian Athletes. He attended Itawamba Community College on a football scholarship and attended the University of Mississippi where he coached and played Intramural Sports. He is currently employed as an Area Manager for Meineke Car Care Center.

He graduated from Mississippi State University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree and in 2015 with a master’s degree, both in computer science. Mr. Jones is currently employed with the U.S. Navy Space and Warfare Systems Command Atlantic in Charleston, SC where he is a computer scientist.

Mr. Robert Clements of Palmetto, GA., and Ms. Bonita Clements of Ripley, TN., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Regina Joy Clements, to Brian Lee Porter, the son of Mr. Bob and Mrs. Dianne Porter of Myrtle, MS.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ron and Betty Yates of Ripley, TN., and Patricia Clements and the late Bobby Clements of Bardstown, KY.
Miss Clements is a graduate of East Union Attendance Center. She is a graduate of Blue Mountain College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education K-6, with endorsements in English and Social Studies 7-12. College honors include being a member of Kappa Delta Pi, and Kappa Kappa Iota. She was also a proud member of Apple club and the Eunomian society.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Walter and Ellen Porter of Myrtle, MS., and the late Kirk and Clynese Brasel of Bonneville, MS.
Mr. Porter is a graduate of West Union Attendance Center. He is a graduate of Delta State University with his Master of Education degree. He is currently employed at East Union Attendance Center as the eighth grade Reading and English teacher.
The couple will exchange vows June 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Friendship United Methodist Church in Myrtle, MS. Reception to follow at the fellowship hall. All friends and family are invited to attend and join in their celebration of marriage.
